Residential Supports: LMC offers three levels of support for people living in a residential setting. Support staff are titled “Resident Advisors”.
This level of support is the most comprehensive. Resident advisors are in the home twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. These staff assist the people living in the home with their daily living skills such as bathing, cooking, taking their medications, cleaning, home décor, shopping, etc. Resident advisors schedule and attend medical appointments as well as plan social/community activities.
This level of support is for people who need approximately 40 hours per week of service. The schedule for the resident advisor, and the level of support required for the person living in this home is determined by the needs of the person living in the home. Supports usually includes budgeting, shopping, attending some medical appointments, transportation to out of town events, etc.
This service is generally for people who need less than 40 hours of support per month. These supports usually include help navigating Medicaid/Medicare, completing paperwork tied to benefits, attending certain doctor appointments, transportation, etc.
LMC sends support staff into the home to help people who live with a family member or guardian. Support staff provide respite services for the family up to four times a month, temporary respite, habilitation and companion services for additional hours per month. Support staff assist with daily living skills and social activities.
This is a behavioral support team that helps develop supports for people who are experiencing challenging times. Focus Group works with people who live at home, live in various residential settings; attend day programs or vocational programs.
Supporting people with Mental Health issues function in the community. Supports may include supported housing, scheduling and attending doctor’s appointments, utilizing public transportation, and interacting with Medicaid/Medicare personnel.
